Gayna Mandelbaum Bassin

Violin/Viola Instructor

Is your child interested in learning to play violin or viola? Or are you interested in honing your own skills, learning time-saving practice tips, or preparing for an audition?

A former member of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Gayna teaches traditional (non-Suzuki) violin and viola to students from age 7 to adult, from beginner to advanced.  She emphasizes reading skills, technique and musical styles.  She encourages her students with patience and compassion, placing love of music above all else. Her studio is located in the heart of Montgomery, Ohio, convenient to the entire Greater Cincinnati area.

As an active member of the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs (OFMC), she offers students (age 18 and under) the opportunity to participate in the annual OFMC Junior Festival in March at Miami University. Many have won Gold Cups and cholarships and were invited to perform in Junior Festival Honors Recitals.

Gayna also enjoy coaching adults and advanced players and helping them prepare for auditions and concerts. She is an accomplished performer as well, and she loves playing solo, chamber music and Klezmer music.
